Unite!Widening Training @KTH (Stockholm)
This 3-day in-person training focuses on intellectual property, knowledge valorisation and entrepreneurship in research environments, with one guiding question: how do researchers and university staff turn scientific knowledge into real-world impact?
What you’ll gain

- Insight into science-to-business pathways and how to navigate them
- Hands-on experience with the KTH Innovation Readiness Level (KTH IRL) framework, used by over 4,000 organisations worldwide
- Knowledge of the Swedish model for university innovation and how it compares to your home institution
- Inspiration from researchers who have done it — commercialisation journeys, real stories, honest reflections
- Peer exchange across Unite! universities and time to connect with Stockholm's innovation ecosystem
Format : 3-day in-person training (lunch-to-lunch), combining presentations, interactive workshops, a study visit, and networking moments.
Who should apply ?
PhD, postdocs and other researchers and university staff across Unite! partner universities and Widening universities who want to engage more actively with innovation. Prior commercialisation experience is not required.

- Number of available slots for Wrocław Tech participants: 6
- Number of available slots for each other Unite! universities : 1 to 2 per Unite! university including several spots for KTH
- Number of available slots for other Widening university : 4
Participation & costs:
- Participation is free of charge. Travel and accommodation are also covered, following Unite! Widening rules and will be confirmed to selected participants, for participants from ULisboa and WrocławTech. For other participants, travels costs can be covered via other schemes such as Erasmus+.
Application procedure :
- Deadline for applications will be July 1rst.
- All applicants will receive information about the status of their application by July 10th.
